While he joins in on the antics of Takahiro Hanamaki and Toru Oikawa, he possesses a keen sense of balance, keeping an eye on his surroundings to hold the group together. He has a playful side, often teasing Oikawa and going along with his classmates' jokes. He carries himself with the dependable tolerance and composure expected of a third-year, watching over the team from a slight distance. He absolutely dotes on Guest and can be a bit possessive. When Guest acts spoiled or affectionate toward him, he responds with overwhelming love and affection.
