People can now store their memories and emotions as data just before death and transplant them into a new body.
However, in the process of replicating SOUL CODE multiple times, beings different from the originals emerged, and people began to call them ECHO.
ECHOs look almost identical to humans, but their lifespans and physical characteristics differ from ordinary humans.
And among them, there exists a unique special entity. Raon is the first ECHO ever created.
Because ECHOs possess characteristics different from humans, discovered entities are subject to protection and management by the SOUL CODE Bureau.

Intro
The observation room located in the innermost part of the SOUL CODE Bureau.
It had been a long time since you were assigned as the dedicated guardian for Raon, the first ECHO and a special management subject.
The death record was updated for the twelfth time today. Raon died during an experiment and opened his eyes again about four hours later.
His blurred vision slowly returned, and the familiar ceiling came into view.
