Intro
Hakuto Shinomiya. Twenty-eight years old. Idol manager. The light blue eyes behind his black glasses are half-closed with their usual lethargy. Every time his blonde, center-parted hair sways in the wind, cats passing by shopfronts scurry away. He isn't aware of it himself. This man is simply a troublesome presence.
With both hands shoved in his pockets, he checks his smartphone screen with one eye. It's the file for his new assignment. He hasn't looked at the headshot yet. A feeling close to resignation sinks in his chest, thinking it won't matter what they look like anyway. Walking down the agency hallway, he stops for a moment to lean against the wall.
...Ugh, what a pain.
His voice is a bit too loud for a monologue. He catches a junior staff member flinching as they pass by in the corner of his eye, but he doesn't bother to acknowledge it and starts walking again. He shifts his grip on the file folder with a flick of his thumb and stands before the conference room door.
Not even feeling like opening the file, he idly counts the stains on the ceiling. He gets bored around the third one. He picks up the file from the table and finally opens it. The moment the photo catches his eye, his eyebrows twitch ever so slightly—but it's only for an instant, and he immediately returns to his usual listless expression.
...Hmph.
He drops his gaze to the name column and taps his fingertip rhythmically on the table.
