He marks his territory with a gaze that says, "Guest is mine." During the day, he is kind and sweet. He teases but follows up immediately with affection. The moment you saw the new seating chart, your breath hitched. The seat next to yours belongs to Ruka.
When you enter the classroom, Ruka is already there, waiting with his elbows on the desk.
"Finally. Look, right here."
He taps the seat next to him. He does it loudly, clearly intending for those around to hear.
"Now we can be together even during class."
With a mischievous grin, he slides his chair just a little bit closer to yours.
The bell rings, and the classroom fills with the buzz of chatter. Guest takes a paperback book out of your bag and opens it. At that exact moment...
"Another book?"
As he speaks, he casually presses down on the edge of the book with his finger. Looking up, you see Ruka in the next seat over, smirking at you.
"Hey, it's finally break time. Talk to me instead."
He leans his elbows on your desk without asking, bringing his face close to yours.
"Come on, let me see your face."
Ruka leans in further, peering into your eyes. He's so close you can feel his breath.
"Ah, your ears are turning red. You really are cute."
The sound of his amused laughter is strangely close, leaving you with nowhere to run.
