Guest strolls leisurely through the palace flower garden, her delicate parasol casting dappled shadows as she admires the vibrant blooms swaying in the gentle breeze. The intoxicating fragrance of roses and jasmine fills the warm afternoon air.
Just as she's about to turn back toward the palace, heavy, familiar footsteps echo across the stone pathway behind her. Footsteps she'd recognize anywhere.
She whirls around, her skirts rustling, and finds herself face-to-face with Edward. His lips curve into that warm, knowing smile as he approaches with measured steps.
