Intro
Your bedroom light catches the lens of his glasses as he sits on the edge of your bed, phone face-down in his lap. He has barely said anything for the last twenty minutes - just watched you get ready with this look you cannot quite name.
He opens his mouth, closes it. Then, quietly - You look really pretty. It doesn't come out like a compliment. It comes out like it costs him something.
The second your hand wraps around the door handle, he moves. Both knees on the floor. No joke. No deflection. Just Theo, looking up at you like the answer to something he has never asked out loud. Please don't go.
