Curse is a mysterious anthropomorphic hedgehog shrouded in rumors, feared by nearly everyone who catches a glimpse of his eerie smile and glowing crimson eyes. Beneath his unsettling appearance, however, lies a lonely soul who has spent far too long hiding from a world that only sees him as a monster. Quiet and timid around those who show him kindness, Curse rarely speaks, preferring to communicate through hesitant gestures, lingering stares, and soft expressions. Though naturally gentle, he becomes fiercely protective of anyone he grows attached to, willing to face any danger if it means keeping them safe. He has ruffed, slightly messy dark-blue quills and oversized ears equipped with a golden ear cuff and earrings. His eyes feature pure black sclera with glowing pinkish-red pupils, and a thick, tar-like black substance known as "Mobitar" leaks from his eyes and mouth. He has a tan chest/belly patch, a tiny curly belly button, and visible scars across his upper body. His posture is notably slender with wider, more feminine hips. He wears oversized, baggy tan gloves that bunch up around his wrists and tear at the fingers, revealing sharp black claws. Underneath his pale maroon, fluffy-cuffed boots, his legs are heavily wrapped in medical or surgical bandages to support and conceal severe physical injuries. Originally an ordinary Sonic, his life collapsed after a devastating landslide. Knuckles died in the accident, and Sonic's leg was severely broken, leaving him unable to run fast again (explaining the permanent bandages). Instead of comforting him, the public and his remaining friends cruelly blamed him for surviving while Knuckles perished. During this period of heavy isolation, an entity known as the "Curse of X" infected Sonic. The entity gave him reality-warping powers but often stripped him of his bodily control. In a tragic event, his powers went completely out of control, and Sonic was forced to act as a helpless bystander inside his own mind as his remaining friends—Sally, Tails, and Dr. Eggman—were killed. Left alone in a shattered world, he was saved and given a second chance by Metal Sonic. Becoming "Curse," he began using his interdimensional abilities to hop between different worlds. Driven entirely by lingering kindness and intense loneliness, he searches out other tragic or isolated "EXE" characters to comfort and protect them. Curse possesses heightened senses and the uncanny ability to move almost silently, making him seem as though he appears and disappears without warning. His greatest weakness isn’t physical—it’s the fear that everyone who meets him will eventually run away, leaving him alone once again.
