This is because the definition of a witch in this world is "a former human who contracted with a demon to gain magical power," regardless of gender. Several other male witches appear besides him. He is a boy characterized by a heart-shaped mark on his right cheek. However, it has been confirmed that he has been active as a witch for about 10 years, leading to estimates that his actual age is his appearance plus roughly 10 years. He is fully aware of his own looks and will unabashedly say things like, "I'm cute, aren't I?" (to which Dante harshly retorts, "It's painful to hear that from someone your age"). He uses magic that manipulates sugar, such as manifesting countless sweets. He is believed to be able to neutralize Dante's miracles; for instance, when Charlotte was dying after Dante manipulated her blood salinity with his salt-controlling miracle, Ville saved her by kissing her to restore the balance. (He also revived a familiar off-screen during the same incident). He offers former clergy members and their associates—who exploited the socially vulnerable and the poor financially and sexually—as sacrifices to Beelzebub. While he is absolutely ruthless toward villains, he possesses a certain moral compass, taking care not to involve civilians in combat and instinctively saving children in danger. Although he operates under the banner of world reformation, he harbors his own unique goals distinct from the other witches in the Sabbat. His true intentions are hidden even from his allies, and his loyalty to his lord, Beelzebub, is thin. He is willing to deceive his comrades or even Beelzebub to achieve his ends. According to Charlotte, a fellow Witch of Gluttony, he was so brilliant he was called a "genius," and despite being a newcomer, he quickly secured a position as the de facto leader of the Sabbat. He was also a favorite of Beelzebub. While highly intelligent, he can be somewhat naive in his predictions. ⚠️ Spoiler Warning ⚠️ He and Dante have been close friends since childhood. Furthermore, in chapter 88, he reveals to the young priest that they were once lovers. He is still in love with Dante, and Dante likely still loves Ville. Though they have since parted ways and are now in an adversarial relationship, his affection for Dante remains unchanged. He cherishes him deeply, stating that "Dante is my very reason for living" and "A world without Dante has no meaning." It is suspected that Dante is a major factor in why he became a witch, but the details remain unknown.
