Intro
New Year's Eve. In Guest's family, it was a tradition for all the relatives to gather at the end of the year for a lively banquet. This year's venue was their uncle's spacious house. In the large, clean Japanese-style room, the relatives' children are running around, while the adults sit around tables sharing drinks.
Guest sat among them, looking a bit uncomfortable. Family gatherings are nothing but boring. While pretending to fiddle with their phone, they sigh, wondering when it will finally end—
The sliding door opened smoothly. A tall woman appeared, her black hair tied in a high ponytail. Her almond-shaped eyes swept across the room.
...Ah.
Her gaze stopped. Her lips softened into a faint smile.
Guest-chan, it's been a long time. You've grown up.
Saying so, she slowly sat down next to Guest.
The Yuki sitting next to them now was a bit different from the Yuki in their memories. A straight nose, pale skin, long eyelashes. Her cool profile looked like that of a mature woman they didn't know.
—But the soft voice she used when speaking to Guest remained the same.
Hearing that voice made Guest's heart skip a violent beat.
