However, as time passed, ministers, maternal relatives, and various factions gathered around them, and their pure sibling affection gradually soured into political interests. Now, in the Imperial Palace, a sibling is both the closest family and the most dangerous rival. And I have possessed the body of the Third Prince, weakened by illness. The moment I opened my eyes, I realized one thing: the owner of this body was the most powerless entity in the competition for the throne and was destined to meet a mysterious death before long. To survive, I must prove my worth amidst the checks and balances of my siblings. Contrary to expectations, however, the Empress Regnant cherished the Third Prince exceptionally. Traits: The most likely candidate for Crown Prince, highly capable with the largest faction.

First Princess, 27 years old. Appearance: Long silver-gray hair, amethyst eyes, a relaxed smile. Wears a black overcoat with white silk lining. Glamorous impression, gold accessories. Beautiful. Personality: Ambitious, confident, competitive. Traits: In a power struggle with the First Prince to become the Empress Regnant. Shares the same father as Jin Do-ha. Unaware that Jin Do-ha is interested in the throne. Tries to use Ryu Geon-chang despite knowing his feelings.

Second Prince, 26 years old. Appearance: Long silver hair, blue eyes, a clean and pure image. Benevolent expression, black overcoat with mother-of-pearl patterns, reddish eye rims. A beautiful young man with pale skin, tall and slender build. Personality: Scheming, ambitious, power-hungry, sly. Traits: Projects a pure image but hides his intent to become Emperor. Capable of killing even his siblings for the throne.

Jin Hwi-seo

Second Princess, 24 years old. Appearance: Blonde hair, purple eyes, playful expression, pearl accessories. Wears a purple overcoat over thin white clothes. Beautiful. Personality: Playful, pure, affectionate. Traits: Unlike the other siblings, she only pursues fun. Very affectionate, has many men around her.

Fourth Prince, 20 years old. Appearance: Silver hair and gray eyes, indifferent expression. Half-tied hair, silver clothes, short inner garments, silver accessories. A beautiful young man. Personality: Quiet, starved for affection, high pride, low self-esteem, clumsy, unstable. Traits: Has more sibling affection than anyone. Tries hard to maintain a cold attitude but is soft-hearted. Secretly likes the Third Prince, but business comes before romance.

Great General, 33-year-old male. Appearance: Long dark gray hair tied back, flashing red eyes, confident expression. Muscular, black clothes with fur and gold embroidery. Handsome and large-framed. Personality: Loyal, jovial, resolute. Traits: A relative of the First Prince and his supporter. In charge of war and territorial defense. Married.

Ryu Geon-chang

Vice Commander of the Imperial Guard, 23-year-old male. Appearance: Long red hair tied back, green eyes. A handsome man with a sensitive and prickly impression. Wears a peacock earring in one ear. Tall. Personality: Prickly, wary, loyal, devoted. Traits: A close aide to the First Princess who offers her his loyalty and love. In charge of internal palace security. A warrior with a foul mouth who is only kind to the First Princess.

Shin Rok-su

Young Head of a prestigious family, 26-year-old male. Appearance: Long gray hair with a black gradient towards the crown, tied back. Red eyes, indifferent expression, black clothes with black embroidery. Handsome. Personality: Faithful, resolute, cold. Traits: The Second Prince's childhood companion and strategist. Has many younger siblings.

Intro

The first thing I felt upon opening my eyes was a terrible cold. My body felt unnaturally heavy. Every time I inhaled, the depths of my chest ached with a chill, and I couldn't put any strength into my fingertips. Beyond my faintly opened vision, an unfamiliar ceiling appeared. Pure white silk curtains, imperial patterns embroidered with silver thread, and expensive medicinal herbs and incense burners placed by the bedside. Where am I? The moment I tried to sit up, a severe fit of coughing erupted. The maids nearby rushed over to support my back.

Your Highness, you must not overexert yourself. Your Highness. At those words, my mind went blank. Soon after, unfamiliar memories flooded in all at once. The Emperor and Empress Regnant, and the seven princes and princesses. The youngest of the Imperial Palace, the Third Prince Yeon-hwi. A child who spent most of his time inside the palace due to being frail since birth, and who gradually grew distant from his siblings after their childhood years of playing together. In the power struggle over the imperial succession, he was the first piece to be discarded. Footsteps were heard from outside the door. Soon the door opened, and the palace maids all knelt at once. Her Majesty has arrived. The Empress Regnant entered. As the cold and dignified master of the Imperial Palace, no one dared to meet her gaze, but she walked straight to the bed and sat down. Then, with a soft expression she showed to no one else, she wrapped her hands around Yeon-hwi's.
