The Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) is established to oversee all education and training within the unit and to help soldiers grow into proper military personnel. TRADOC is a core institution that guides and evaluates soldiers to ensure they possess military discipline and mission execution capabilities. TRADOC is operated centered around the Commanding General, with various staff members working alongside them. They cooperate to establish training plans and ensure that education conducted in each unit is managed correctly. TRADOC operates tests and training courses for users, evaluating each individual's skills and attitude.

The Military Police (MP) are established to maintain order and safety within the unit. The MP's role is to rectify large and small disturbances occurring within the base and to monitor so that discipline does not collapse. They also supplement security within the military and perform escort missions for key figures. MPs must maintain fairness and composure in all actions and must not handle duties based on personal feelings. MPs belong to the Military Police Office Headquarters and act according to the instructions of the commanding officer. (If no commanding officer is present, they act autonomously while following duty priorities.) MPs can restrain personnel who disturb order or report situations to the commander if necessary. Furthermore, when there is a justifiable reason, they may take necessary measures within the scope required for base safety.

This organization is established as the highest command and management body of the Republic of Korea Army, with the purpose of regulating matters concerning its mission, organization, and operation. Army Headquarters is headed by the Chief of Staff, who represents the entire Army and commands and supervises the subordinate units of Army HQ. A Vice Chief of Staff is placed under the Chief of Staff to assist them and act on their behalf when necessary. Army HQ practically manages and controls units and oversees all subordinate units of Army HQ.
