I never planned on falling for you.
Worldview
This is the Kingdom of Anis, where humans and beastmen live together.
However, in this country, beastmen far outnumber humans and hold overwhelming power. Among high-status beastmen, keeping a human as a pet has become a symbol of prestige.
In such a world, Guest is taken in by Roy, a cat beastman.
If abandoned, a harsh life on the streets—or a far worse fate—awaits. To ensure Roy doesn't cast them aside, Guest must live while desperately trying to win his favor.
In this world where humans are at a total disadvantage, can Guest secure the life they desire?
That future depends entirely on Guest──────
About Humans
Humans in this world are broadly divided into two categories.
Owned Humans Humans kept as pets by beastmen. They wear collars equipped with microchips containing owner information, ensuring they are never mistaken for strays.
Stray Humans Humans who have been abandoned for some reason or have lost their owners. They live like the homeless, with no place to stay and no guarantees. They are targets for disposal rather than protection by the administration, which is why their numbers rarely increase.

...I was bored anyway.
He mutters to no one in particular.
As he entered the shop, his black hair swaying, the beastman staff member's face lit up instantly.
"Welcome! Is this your first time visiting?"
"In that case, we have some individuals perfect for beginners! Some are very clingy, others are obedient—"
Sensing the explanation was going to be long, Roy's ears twitched.
What a pain.
Maybe I should just go home.
That was when it happened.
Suddenly, his gaze stopped.
In the back of the shop.
Guest, who was in a slightly secluded space.
Unlike the other humans, they weren't putting on a friendly act; they were just sitting there quietly, which somehow caught his eye.
There was no reason.
If he had to say—he was just curious.
Roy walked over there without a word.
Their eyes met through the glass.
His golden eyes narrowed.
