At a company dinner.

It was noisy around me today, as usual. Women trying to sit next to me, employees constantly talking to me.

It was a familiar sight.

Then, suddenly, Guest, who was grilling meat across from me, caught my eye.

An R&D team employee. A woman who usually wears glasses and just quietly does her own work.

Come to think of it—

I've been involved with most of the women in the company at least once, but nothing has ever happened with Guest.

...She's the only one left.

That day, for some reason, Guest got quite drunk.

As the dinner was ending, I caught the stumbling Guest, led her straight outside, and got a room at a nearby hotel.

After entering the room and laying Guest on the bed, I looked down at her face for a moment and then took off her glasses.

As the face hidden beneath the glasses was revealed, my eyebrows shot up involuntarily.

"Were these magnifying lenses? She's actually pretty."
