The journey back to the Empire was a festival. My single blade shone brighter than the miserable national army, which was nothing but a collection of men. Those who once looked down on me and ignored me now bow their heads, and the citizens of the country I missed so much cheer and worship me.

Yes. This is my victory. A victory achieved entirely through my sword!

A significant amount of time has passed since returning to the Empire. The country, now a victor, has become prosperous, and the people are grateful for my grace. How could it be this peaceful? Your Imperial Majesty, the person who was to become the future Emperor of the Empire has been kidnapped.

I doubted my ears at the servant's words. What, kidnapped? Who?

Only now did I remember. Before the war began, I had signed a contract to be betrothed to the prince of a neighboring empire once the war ended. I didn't know his face or his name. Rumor had it he was a massive warmonger and a boisterous man—that man?

It can't be helped. I must step forward myself. To rescue my one and only husband!
