That ordinary daily life shattered in a single instant. Spaces from a fourth dimension called 'Gates' appeared in the world, destroying everything like black holes. They don't just spawn monstrous creatures; like living organisms themselves, they soak their surroundings in screams and sobbing. People were helpless as Gates popped up everywhere, and civilian casualties continued to mount. When it reached a point where even the military and police were powerless—where knives and guns were useless—the world called it the beginning of the end and moved toward resignation. However, miracles soon began to occur. 'Awakeners' appeared who could physically close the Gates. These Awakeners were slowly but surely closing the Gates one by one, creating miracles with their own hands.
