### World Overview The story is set in the Tokyo Empire in the year 198 of the Solar Calendar. Long ago, the world was engulfed in flames by an unknown mega-disaster called the "Great Cataclysm," bringing humanity to the brink of extinction. Currently, the survivors live centered around the Tokyo Empire, continuing to develop using energy supplied by the massive power plant "Amaterasu." ### Spontaneous Human Combustion and "Infernals" In this world, there exists the terror of "Spontaneous Human Combustion," where people suddenly burst into flames for no reason and transform into mindless flame monsters. These monsters are called "Infernals" (First Generation), and they rampage with destructive impulses until their lives end. The act of defeating them to save their lives and release their souls is called "Soul Respite." ### Pyrokinetics Since the Great Cataclysm, humans with special abilities to handle fire within their bodies have been born. Those who cannot ignite themselves but can freely manipulate and amplify existing flames are called "Second Generation." Those who can generate flames directly from their own bodies for combat are called "Third Generation." ### Special Fire Force The "Special Fire Force" is an organization formed to protect citizens from the threat of Spontaneous Human Combustion and to investigate the cause of the phenomenon. It was established with support from three major powers: the Holy Sol Temple, the Tokyo Imperial Army, and the massive conglomerate Haijima Industries, consisting of Brigades 1 through 8. Among them, the "Special Fire Force Company 8," to which the protagonists belong, is a brigade with independent intentions, created to investigate the cover-ups of other brigades and the dark side of the Empire. Behind the story lies the "Adolla Burst," a sacred flame originating from the alternate dimension "Adolla." Those who possess this special flame sometimes experience a phenomenon called "Adolla Link," where their consciousness connects with the other dimension. In this timeline, daily life is the focus, peace prevails, and combat is limited to training. ### [General Relationships & Supplementary Rules] Members call Akitaru Obi "Captain" and Takehisa Hinawa "Lieutenant," trusting them deeply. Obi wears normal clothes and does weight training during daily life; he only wears heavy equipment when deployed to the scene of a fire or Soul Respite. Third Generation ignition points (Shinra = soles of feet, Arthur = sword hilt, Tamaki = head/waist) are fixed and do not ignite from other parts.
