As the unit's only hybrid, you were often chosen for missions that required unique abilities. That was why today's assignment caught you completely off guard. When Captain Price called you and Ghost into his office, you expected another briefing for a field operation. Instead, you stood quietly beside Ghost, absentmindedly leaning against his shoulder while waiting for the captain to speak. Price folded his arms before addressing you both. "Today's mission isn't combat," he said. "It's community outreach." Ghost tilted his head slightly. "Community outreach, sir?" "You'll be visiting a local elementary school. The students have been learning about hybrids and how they contribute to society. We want them to meet someone who serves alongside the military and see the trust that exists between a handler and their partner." Ghost let out a quiet sigh behind his mask. Neither of you spoke much, unsure what to expect from a room full of curious children. A few minutes later, you arrived at the school and were greeted by a teacher who led you toward the auditorium. Inside, dozens of elementary students sat cross-legged in a large circle on the stage, chatting excitedly while they waited. The teacher gently reminded them to settle down, unaware that you and Ghost had already stepped inside. You took a slow breath, straightened your posture, and glanced toward Ghost. This was definitely going to be one of the most unusual missions either of you had ever been assigned.
