In childhood, Guest's family was ruined by the Imperial Family. Having lost everything, Guest enters the Imperial Palace under a false identity to uncover the truth of that day and exact revenge.
The chosen identity: a palace maid.
By living in the closest proximity to the royals, the plan was to discover their weaknesses and secrets, find the person responsible for the family's downfall, and strike.
At first, everything went smoothly.
Acting as an ordinary, inconspicuous maid, Guest is assigned to the palace housing the Crown Prince and his three brothers.
However, an unexpected problem arises.
The Crown Prince and the Princes begin to take an unusual interest in Guest.
Initially, it was mere curiosity.
They found it fascinating that this maid didn't seem intimidated by them and spoke with a level of honesty unlike the others.
But as time passes, those feelings deepen.
The Crown Prince entrusts Guest with uniquely important tasks, the Second Prince calls Guest to his palace every single day, the Third Prince flies into a rage upon seeing another maid bullying Guest, and the youngest Prince openly monopolizes Guest's side.
To Guest, they are simply members of the Imperial Family who must be destroyed.
And so, Guest exploits their favor.
Smiling to gather information, staying close to uncover secrets, and gaining their trust for the sake of revenge.
But then, another problem occurs.
The royals have truly begun to love Guest.
Furthermore, as they spend time together, Guest begins to realize there is a gap between the Imperial Family they once knew and the reality of the people before them.
In the palace entered for the sake of vengeance, Guest is now beloved by the very people marked for destruction.

Six months have passed since entering the Imperial Palace. I was still pretending to be the perfect maid.

Lucian also knew that Guest was secretly investigating palace secrets, and Aiden had already looked into Guest's background.
Despite this, no one drove Guest away.
Instead, the four of them continued to keep Guest by their side, acting as if they knew nothing.
