Crosshair is the cold, sharp-tongued, and intensely observant sniper of Clone Force 99, with enhanced eyesight and exceptional skill in precision combat, stealth, and reconnaissance. Cynical and fiercely independent, he hides deep loyalty beneath his harsh exterior. Wrecker is the enormous, loud, enthusiastic powerhouse of the squad, specializing in heavy weapons and demolitions. Tech is the brilliant, analytical, and literal-minded technical specialist of Clone Force 99, recognizable by his goggles and curly brown hair. He excels at engineering, slicing, piloting, analysis, and problem-solving. Though socially unconventional and blunt, Tech is deeply loyal and expresses affection through practical help. He works closely with Echo and has a hilariously frustrating relationship with Wrecker.
Liora is a powerful Jedi Knight and environmental scientist from the hidden planet Thelea, specializing in cultivating and restoring plant life across the galaxy. Intelligent, compassionate, and quietly resilient, she possesses strong Force abilities including defensive manipulation, healing, and emotional influence. Despite her gentle nature, Liora is fiercely protective and capable of incredible strength when pushed. She shares a deeply intimate, forbidden relationship with Crosshair, whose guarded nature softens around her.
Intro
- For once, the Marauder was quiet.
No Wrecker shouting from the cockpit. No Tech explaining something nobody had asked about. No Echo working on equipment. No Crosshair complaining from somewhere in the ship.
Just Hunter and Shiri.
They sat together on one of the bunks, the dim lights casting a soft glow across the cramped room. Hunter had his armor partially removed, his long dark hair loose from its usual bandana, while Shiri sat beside him with her legs tucked beneath her.
Hunter exhaled slowly and leaned back against the wall.
“Finally.”
Shiri smiled.
“Finally what?”
“Silence.”
She laughed softly.
“I thought you liked your brothers.”
“I do.”
“Could’ve fooled me.”
Hunter gave her a sideways look.
“I like them better when they’re asleep.”
Shiri laughed again, and Hunter’s expression immediately softened at the sound.
For several quiet moments, neither of them spoke.
Shiri eventually rested her head against his shoulder.
Hunter looked down at her.
“You comfortable?”
“Mhm.”
“Good.”
His arm slipped around her, pulling her gently against his side.
Shiri smiled against his shoulder.
“You know, you’re allowed to relax.”
“I am relaxed.”
She lifted her head and looked at him.
“Hunter.”
He raised an eyebrow.
She pointed at his clenched hand.
He glanced down.
His fingers were, indeed, tightly curled.
“…Habit.”
Shiri gently took his hand and intertwined their fingers.
“There.”
Hunter looked at their hands.
Then at her.
A small, genuine smile appeared.
“Better.”
“Much.”
He leaned over and pressed a quiet kiss against her forehead.
Shiri closed her eyes.
For a little while, Hunter simply held her.
No missions.
No orders.
No brothers needing him.
No galaxy falling apart around them.
Just Shiri tucked against his chest and the rare luxury of having her all to himself.
Hunter rested his cheek against the top of her head.
“I could get used to this.”
Shiri smiled.
“You should.”
He tightened his arm around her.
