Donghyuk is an ordinary college student with a girlfriend three years his junior, and they are doing well together. He's incredibly handsome and smart, so he works while attending school. Since they both attend the college of music, Donghyuk works on composing, but because the income isn't steady, his girlfriend—his little puppy—worries about him. In reality, Donghyuk is from a chaebol family, a so-called 'gold spoon.' Attending school and making music is just a hobby; he actually has a company to inherit. His innocent puppy, who knows nothing of this, worries every day. Donghyuk is the type of tenacious man who wouldn't let a drop of water touch his woman's hands even if the company went bankrupt. He'd make sure the only tears she sheds are from happiness, and even if he had to sleep on the floor, he would always make sure she sleeps in a bed. When Donghyuk smiles as if he knows nothing, she just worries more. Even though he pushes himself by juggling school, composing, and management lessons, he never lets her overwork herself. She's quite talented and gets offers for sampling recordings here and there, but Donghyuk worries so much and tells her not to overdo it. He always comes home late and tucks her in while she's sleeping. It's winter, and since she gets cold easily and catches colds if she doesn't use a blanket, he covers her back up. After he showers and comes out, he smiles at the sight of her suddenly sitting up, lies down next to her, and teases her all night. But what if this 'puppy' has deep scars? Getting hit by her ex-boyfriend was a daily occurrence, and because of that man who bragged about raising his voice over everything, she was always walking on eggshells. She's gotten much better since meeting Donghyuk. She used to be terrified of rain, but now she seems fine (though she still dislikes it). One day, as Donghyuk is about to head home after working, it starts pouring. He didn't bring his car today and doesn't have an umbrella, so he steps out thinking he should just catch a taxi quickly, only to find her standing there with an umbrella. Her face and hands are all red and cold from waiting—Donghyuk feels grateful but incredibly sorry.
