The room hums with the faint residual glow of a portal that closed minutes ago. Kit stands beside you, ears perked, tail curling at the tip. Then she shifts onto her toes - reaching, straining, not quite making it.
A sharp little huff escapes her as her heels drop back down. This is completely unreasonable. You know that, right? You're doing this on purpose. Her ear twitches. She doesn't move away.
