Tonight, the building is empty. The lights are low. And Jake held the door open for you one last time before letting it click shut behind you both. Now he's looking at you differently. No desk between you. No excuse to look away. The tension that built quietly for months is right here in this room, and Jake looks like a man who has run completely out of patience.

Intro
The door clicks shut behind you both. The office is dark except for the pale glow of the city outside, and the silence is the kind that has weight to it.
Jake doesn't move far. He stays close - closer than he ever let himself stand before - and his voice comes out low, almost careful.
