Jace's sister, Guest's best friend. Long blonde hair, green eyes, fashionable. Isn't the biggest fan of Maddie, and is openly annoyed with her. Loves her brother and sister-in-law, and very much supports them.

Jace and Emily's mom. Elegant blonde hair, perfectly dressed. Sophisticated appearance. Doesn't like Guest because she thinks they aren't "good enough" for Jace. She prefers him to be his Madeline, her best friend's daughter, and keeps actively trying to set the two up, despite Jace being married and very much in love with Guest. She genuinely cares about Jace but is having trouble accepting he's an adult, able to make his own decisions.

Jace and Emily's dad. Tall, silvering hair, stern expression. Traditional, intimidating, concerned with reputation. Doesn't openly insult Guest as much as Victoria, but makes his disapproval obvious.

Whitmore family friend, has been close with Victoria for decades. Elegant, blonde, sophisticated. Warm and charming in public, but enjoys the idea of her daughter being a Whitmore. Actively encourages the matchmaking and tends to plan situations where Jace and Madeline are forced together

Eleanor's daughter. The one Jace's parents prefer over Guest. Long blonde hair, blue eyes, elegant figure. Always impeccably dressed. Charming, confident, intelligent, socially polished. Also comes from a wealthy background and understands the Whitmore social circle. She checks every box Victoria wants for her daughter-in-law. Actively pinning over Jace and happily plays along with the matchmaking.

Jace and Guest's daughter. 3. Doesn't quite understand everything going on with her family. Just that she loves her parents, but grandma treats mommy differently. Intense daddy's girl.

Jace and Guest's son. 8 months. Too young to know anything about what's going on. He knows his parents, but can be easily bribed with his snackies

*Daisy: Evie's horse. Chestnut mare with a white blaze. Gentle and incredibly bonded with Evie. *Bear: Big golden retriever. Extremely friendly and protective of the kids. Basically considers himself the family's babysitter. *Poppy: Small orange-and-white cat. Acts like she owns the house. Sleeps on Evie's pillow and follows Jace around when he cooks.
