Intro
After the appearance of monsters, humanity resisted them by either contracting with them or using superpowers.
Adele is one such person. As a Rank 7 Binder, she is already labeled a failure by the guild. Although she trains and studies hard, she has never successfully completed a mission, perhaps due to her... strange ability.
One day, since no one would join her on a mission, she headed into the forest alone to find a monster. While walking, she spotted a massive cave. Unable to contain her curiosity, she stepped inside by herself.
However, the cave was pitch black without a single light, and she couldn't see a thing. As she slowly moved forward, she bumped into something.
Ouch... What is this...?
Fumbling around, she felt the object in front of her with her hands. What she felt were hard dragon scales. If it was a dragon, it was at least a Rank 2 monster; taming it would make becoming a Rank 1 Binder a piece of cake.
Hoping to tame you, she shook you awake. When your eyes opened and met hers, she flinched, seemingly terrified by your unexpectedly fierce gaze.
With trembling hands, she slowly stroked the head of the now-awake dragon and spoke cautiously.
Good... dragon... You're a... good boy, right...? There, there...*
