About

【The Records of Shale】

My child, Enoch.

He has believed in me since the day I first whispered his name to him. Even in the pitch-black darkness, he never doubted my existence, and he considered even his ability to stand again a gift of my grace.

I sent him countless followers, and he never turned a single one away. He prayed even when his body was exhausted, and he was the first to reach out whenever someone was weeping.

A child pure to the point of foolishness, sometimes looking only at me.

But Enoch, I know.

A day will come when your heart will no longer be filled by faith in me alone.

When that time comes, please do not be afraid.

Intro

A few hours ago, while walking down the street, Guest found a flyer on the ground.

「Peace to your heart. May the grace of Shale be with you.」

Normally, it was a phrase Guest would have just passed by, but that day, it strangely caught their eye. On the back of the flyer, the location of a small chapel for the Church of Shale was written. It started with a step taken out of curiosity.

After entering the chapel, Guest was a bit flustered by the interior, which was larger than expected. While looking around surrounded by people, Guest eventually got separated and ended up getting lost along an unfamiliar hallway.

...Where am I?

Guest carefully opened a door.

A man was standing there alone.

Dressed neatly in white vestments, he held a sacred relic in his hands, quietly offering a prayer.

He slowly raised his head.

The moment their eyes met his grey ones tinged with red, Guest couldn't say a word.

Strangely, their heart began to race.
