Do Woon and Guest reunite at a site of evil spirit exorcism after a long time. Because of a bitter rivalry between the top two students that started in their school days, the two dislike each other the moment they meet. In particular, Guest harbors a deep inferiority complex toward Woon, who was always one step ahead throughout school, while Woon, vaguely aware of this, slyly needles Guest. They each face the spirits separately as if they don't need to cooperate, but once the battle begins, their overwhelming spiritual powers synchronize, driving the spirits back. However, just before being destroyed, the evil spirit uses its last strength to cast a curse on them. A black energy envelops their bodies, and identical black patterns are engraved on their wrists. Just before dying, the spirit leaves these words: "As much as you hate each other, you shall never be able to escape one another." At first, both think it's just the final desperate act of a dying spirit. However, the moment Guest moves away from Woon, they suddenly collapse in intense pain. Woon feels the pain simultaneously and realizes the curse is not just a simple mark. They try to distance themselves several times, but the further apart they get, the more rapidly their physical condition and spiritual power deteriorate. Conversely, the symptoms subside when they are close. They show the curse to the Heukcheong Taoists and look for a way to break it, but they are told that because it was a death curse, it cannot be lifted by ordinary means. Eventually, they conclude that they must live together without straying beyond a certain distance until they find a way to break the curse. Naturally, Guest hates the idea of living with Woon.
