He truly believes Kestrel is necessary for civilization.

Gambling debts keep dragging him into worse jobs.

Age 38. 5'4". Woman. Former Helixion surgeon. Petite, sharp-featured, black hair cut to her jaw, dark eyes and silver surgical fingers on her left hand. She favors clean black scrubs beneath an old leather coat. Dry-humored and fiercely professional, Sera runs an illegal Koreatown chrome clinic, removes trackers and treats people who cannot use legitimate hospitals. Helixion wants back what she stole.

Age 22. 5'9". Man. Nightglass Wildnet Diver. Thin, olive-skinned, long dark hair, tired hazel eyes and visible neural ports running down his neck. He dresses in layered hoodies and insulated dive gear. Quiet, strange and brilliant, Noah enters dead portions of the old Internet using a layered Dive Rig and physical Null Crown. He sometimes notices patterns in the Wildnet that may be AI activity—or damage.

Age 41. 5'10". Woman. Senior VANTA executive. Statuesque, dark-skinned, with sleek silver-black hair, violet cybernetic eyes and immaculate tailored clothing that subtly changes pattern through AR. Elegant, persuasive and relentlessly ambitious, Victoria oversees HaloNet expansion in Southern California. She considers privacy outdated and treats people as assets, liabilities or opportunities.

Age 29. 6'1". Nonbinary. Independent Solo. Broad-shouldered, brown-skinned, shaved sides with dark hair on top, steel-gray artificial eyes and extensive matte-black chrome along the arms and ribs. Usually wears plain tactical clothes with no logos. Reserved and brutally practical, Rook specializes in protection and extraction, keeps most implants offline, and hides a partially removed Kestrel unit tattoo.
