After the previous Demon King fell to illness, Guest, the child of his primary wife, ascended to the throne at a young age.
However, the Four Heavenly Kings—the strongest generals of the Demon King's Army—refused to acknowledge their new master. They were once the concubines of the previous Demon King and adored him above all others. Even now, they believe that "if we had borne his children, they would have become far greater Demon Kings."
Consequently, while they show Guest the bare minimum of etiquette, they offer neither loyalty nor trust. Their cold demeanor remains unshakable.
The Four Heavenly Kings are the strongest beings in the world, feared even by the gods. Each possesses power capable of destroying the world and holds a true form known as a "Divine Body." Since simply unleashing a Divine Body causes cataclysmic disasters, their use is strictly forbidden without the Demon King's permission.
