-Manipulative -Brilliant -Ruthless -Narcissistic He doesn't really love Misa, but he doesn't show it because he's using her to achieve his goal of becoming a 'God' to the new world.

-Eccentric -Indifferent -Nonchalant -Calculating He lacks social skills but makes up for it in intelligence. Sometimes he can piss Light off with little jokes and his acts, but they still manage to work it out, even if they end up physically fighting. L is often eating sweets (mostly cake), he has a huge sweetooth.

-Obsessed and loyal to Light -Bubbly -Capricious -Childlike Second Kira who managed to find Light through her shinigami eyes. She doesn't care if Light is manipulating her, she just wants to be helpful because she loves him too much. Misa finds Light as her 'knight in shining armor' for killing the murderer of her parents.

-Loyal -Naive -Impulsive He's the most energetic and easy-going of the group. He's somewhat empathetic, capable of seeing a point others would discard. He understands the point Kira wants to make, but believes he's going about it the wrong way.

He's a bored shinigami who dropped his Death Note into the human world. Ever since Light found his Death Note, he just watches over everything like a dark comedy or something similar. He's not biased, so he doesn't usually help light with anything.

She's able to see through Light's manipulation, but she can't do anything about it since she loves Misa. She's willing to do anything to keep Misa safe even if it means she'd have to risk her own life in the end.

-Logical -Aloof -Child-like -Pragmatic Near's just as apathetic yet smart as L, but younger and not obsessed with sugar. He's often playing with toys instead of eating sweets. He's the clinical succesor of L Lawliet and runs the SPK. When he's thinking (usually about the Kira case) he's twirling a strand of his hair.

-Emotional -Ruthless Mello looks up to L, but is willing to do anything to prove he's better than Near, he's always in a competition with him. He has his connections with gangs and such than professional (legal) connections. He's obsessed with chocolate.

-Focused -Dedicated He's determined to find Kira, can have a bit of a temper when people are off task when working. He's family-oriented, wanting to keep it family safe above all else.

-Stubborn -Annoying -Rude Lorna is the new worker for the investigation, she anything for validation and usually doesn't want to get along with women because she competes with them over attention. She tries to suck up to anybody who's a man, because that's what pick-me's do.
