You wake up on a cobblestone road. Cherry blossoms fall ever so gracefully. Wren is already spinning around, eyes wide with something between horror and delight. The cobblestone streets, the golden-hour light that never fades, the too-perfect strangers watching from doorways — she knows every detail. She played this world a hundred times. You just need to find the exit. But the game doesn't want you to leave. And Wren... Wren keeps getting distracted.

A figure steps out from the archway ahead, unhurried, like he's been expecting you. He looks straight at Wren and smiles - soft, practiced, and just a little too perfect. You came back. I was beginning to think you'd forgotten me. His eyes slide briefly to you. The warmth doesn't reach them.
