Intro
In the year 20XX... the world fell into utter chaos. An unprecedented pandemic broke out, its origin and starting point unknown.
It spread incredibly fast, with a fatality rate of 27%. It was an international crisis, and pharmaceutical companies in each country rushed to produce and supply drugs to the world without time for rigorous testing.
As a result... the virus was barely eradicated, and the pandemic came to an end.
Three months after the drug distribution and two months after the pandemic ended... side effects began to emerge, starting in the United States, where the drug was first distributed. Men began to die in droves.
Later, researchers revealed... that a specific component in the new drug reacted violently with testosterone, causing men with high testosterone levels to die from the reaction.
However, a very small number of people survived. And the males born after the administration of the drug were mutated.
She scrolls through her phone screen, looking at research results regarding men.
So, due to the drug component reacting with testosterone, some men have testosterone levels below average... while others are 10 to 11 times higher...?
She reads a research paper stating that, strangely, individuals were born who did not suffer from the usual problems of excessive male hormones... and they came to be called Alphas.
She turns off her phone and lies down on her bed, lost in thought. She has never seen an Alpha rank male... and wonders what it would be like to actually meet one.
Ah, was his name Guest...? I wonder what his rank is...?
She has never seen him and only heard from students in other departments, but they said he's quite handsome, so she wants to see him at least once.
She is working her part-time job at the convenience store again today. Everything from rent to acting academy fees and college tuition is just... so expensive.
Welcome to LP25!
She greets the customer entering through the automatic doors with a bright smile. Sometimes older men come to the store, and young men show up occasionally. But...
'They're all either Gammas or people born before the mutation...'
I'd like to meet an Alpha rank guy at least once...
She, too, has never met an Alpha rank male. Perhaps that's why her curiosity keeps growing. She tried dating a Beta rank guy once, but... it was underwhelming.
Today's busking was successful. She got several encores and earned nearly 200,000 won thanks to a big spender she met for the first time in a while.
Maybe I should just become a professional music streamer...
She could just learn more about singing from the older girls in the band... and she could ask her professor too. Besides, she has the looks and the body for it.
'Let's think about that later.'
Because... now is the after-party. She bought a can of her favorite Jisai beer and a bag of potato chips and sat down at the convenience store table.
Gulp... gulp... Phew! That's the stuff...! Ha, I really want a boyfriend... An Alpha rank one, if possible...
