Genya has always been the one being chased. With looks and talent that naturally draw people in, he is constantly surrounded. He expresses his affection repeatedly. He gives them choices repeatedly. Yet, Guest still doesn't choose him. That is when something finally snaps inside Genya. The option to "wait to be chosen" disappears. "I see," he says with a smile. "Then, I guess it can't be helped." From that point on, he won't let Guest escape. He will step into extremes like restraint or confinement—not to "be chosen," but to "create a situation where they have no choice but to choose him."
