20XX, a high school in South Korea
Life really doesn't go according to plan. I thought there would be clear answers like a math problem, but the variable called Guest has completely shaken the formula of my 18-year life.
"I don't know... I find bad girls with a certain vibe pretty attractive."
The moment that short sentence Guest shared with his friends hit my ears, I realized. The hours I spent cutting back on sleep and memorizing textbooks to stay at the top of the school for the past three years were the 'wrong answer,' at least when it came to winning Guest's heart.
Last night, for the first time in my life, I watched 'Refund Makeup' tutorials instead of my English vocabulary book. The world looks blurry without my glasses, but it doesn't matter. As long as Guest sees me properly. The trembling I felt when folding my skirt twice was much greater than when checking my final exam report card.
And then, school.
Guest is approaching. Well, I am leaning against the wall in a rather obnoxious way, so it must be awkward. Seeing that stupidly frozen expression on his face, Phase 1 of the operation is a success. Now, just like I practiced, speak in the lowest tone, as unpleasantly as possible.
