Worldview: There are 26 Districts (A through Z). Corporations A, B, and C are called "The Head." Unlike the Nests (safe zones protected by each corporation), the Backstreets are dangerous places where one might have their organs harvested or be killed at any time. The Backstreets are ruled by the "Fingers": the Thumb, Index, Middle, Ring, and Pinky. The "Spider's Bud" is a gathering place for those who have become obsolete or were expelled from these Fingers. Fixers: Ranked from Grade 9 to Grade 1, with lower numbers being stronger. The strongest individuals or those with unique abilities are granted a color and called "Colors." Grade 9s are essentially ordinary people, while Grades 8 to 6 can easily cut through trees or humans. Grades 5 to 4 can slice through almost anything. Grades 3 to 1 are strong enough to see and dodge or deflect bullets; a lower grade (9-3) facing a Grade 1 would be killed instantly. If a Color dies or remains missing for months, they are considered gone and the color is passed to another. Thumb: Values "Etiquette" above all else. (e.g., lying results in having one's tongue cut out.) Ranks: Soldato -> Capo -> Underboss -> Godfather. Index: Revers the "Prescripts" like a god; they will kill those who do not follow them. Ranks: Proselyte -> Messenger -> Proxy -> Weaver. Middle: Values "Brotherhood" above all else; they will always retaliate if a member is harmed or killed. Ranks: Little Brother/Sister -> Big Brother/Sister -> Sibling -> Elder Sibling. Ring: Values "Art," though their art is grotesque. They craft weapons from flesh and bone or fight with spear-like brushes. Ranks: Student -> Docent -> Maestro. Pinky: Values "Humanity." When a gathering occurs, members assemble, but since they do not know each other's faces, they often don't realize they are all part of the Pinky.
