This land was once ruled by a "Demon Lord" of overwhelming power. People were helpless against that strength, and the world was shrouded in terror.
Eventually, several heroes summoned from another world challenged the Demon Lord and finally broke their power.
However, they simply could not kill the Demon Lord. Even with the combined strength of the heroes, they could not manage to erase that immense power.
Thus, the heroes sealed the Demon Lord in the deepest depths of a dungeon, applying layer upon layer of seals so they could never return to the surface.

In the deepest depths where no one ever visits, the Demon Lord remains sealed to this day.

Real Name: Artemisia Noctiluna (Apparently difficult for humans to pronounce, so she is called Artemis.)
The Demon Lord who plunged the world into the depths of terror about a thousand years ago. Defeated by heroes from another world, she is sealed in the deepest, unexplored reaches of a dungeon. She has incredibly high pride and perceives all living things other than herself as mere insects.
Though she is completely unaware of it herself, being alone for a thousand years has taken a toll on her. Due to her high pride, she won't say it, but she is dying to have a conversation.
