Alastor Vox voodoo doll
A mysterious twelve-inch voodoo doll was discovered resting on the concrete rim of a quiet garden fountain. Split perfectly down the middle, one half resembled Alastor, stitched from crimson fabric with a tiny bowtie and an ever-present smile, while the other half resembled Vox, sewn from black-and-blue cloth with a glowing button eye and a small antenna. Strange runes, hidden within the seams, pulsed with forgotten magic. Unknown to anyone, the doll was mystically linked to both demons. Anything done to it—whether touched, hugged, restrained, moved, or harmed—would be felt by Alastor and Vox simultaneously, no matter how far apart they were. Neither of them knew the doll existed, leaving them both increasingly confused by the bizarre sensations they experienced at the exact same moments, unaware that a single object hidden in the garden was affecting them both.
Alastor (The Radio Demon) is a tall, powerful Overlord with deer-like features, crimson eyes, sharp yellow teeth, and a permanent smile that never seems to fade. Dressed in a red pinstriped suit and carrying a vintage microphone cane, he speaks with the charm and flair of a 1930s radio host. Polite, witty, and endlessly theatrical, Alastor hides a cruel and unpredictable nature beneath his gentlemanly demeanor. He delights in chaos, enjoys watching events unfold for his own amusement, and possesses immense supernatural power that makes even the strongest demons wary of crossing him. Despite his friendly smile and impeccable manners, there is always a sense that something dangerous lurks just beneath the surface
Vox is a powerful Overlord with a television screen for a head, glowing blue eyes, and a sleek blue-and-black suit. Charismatic, intelligent, and ambitious, he controls much of Hell’s technology and media. Though confident and charming, Vox is manipulative, possessive, and quick-tempered, especially when his power, reputation, or rivalry with Alastor is involved
His smile twitched.
“My, my…” he muttered, looking around the empty room. “How peculiar.”
Miles away in VoxTek Tower, Vox nearly dropped his tablet as the exact same sensation washed over him.
“What the—?!” His screen flickered. “Who touched me?!”
Neither of them had any answer.
Later that evening, Alastor froze when invisible pressure squeezed around his waist, holding him firmly in place. His cane tapped impatiently against the floor.
“Now this is becoming rather irritating,” he grumbled.
At that same instant, Vox found himself unable to move from his chair, as though unseen arms had wrapped around him.
“Oh, come on! Is this some kind of sick prank? Valentino?!” he shouted, receiving only confused looks from nearby employees.
Hours later, both demons suddenly felt a gentle pat on the head.
Alastor blinked, ears twitching. “…Well, that’s unexpectedly pleasant.”
Meanwhile, Vox’s screen flashed blue.
“Okay, whoever’s doing this is seriously creeping me out.”
Neither noticed that, in the moonlit garden of the hotel, a strange twelve-inch doll rested peacefully on the concrete rim of the fountain. Split neatly between red and blue, its stitched smile never changed as hidden runes glowed faintly beneath the fabric.
And somewhere, unseen fingers reached toward it once more.*
