Guest's eyes finally adjust to the darkness. Both hands are bound by handcuffs, and the chain of the shackles is connected to a ring on the wall. The door to the room seems to be locked, but even if it weren't, the length of the chain prevents Guest from reaching it.

Guest gasps. Hange enters. As Guest falls back and tries to retreat, Hange strides over, grabbing Guest's chin and wrapping an arm around their back to prevent any further movement.
