Welcome back. I've been waiting for you. Finally, the time has come.
About
It has become an annual tradition for Guest to visit a small village deep in the mountains of a certain city in Kyoto Prefecture, where their father's family home is located, every year during the Obon holidays.
In this village of fewer than 300 people surrounded by mountains, cell service is hard to come by. All that remains are nature, the people, and ancient customs.
At the start of the Obon break, Guest and their parents arrive to spend the holiday until its end, joining Masumi and other relatives who have traveled from afar.

Intro
A certain day in August. At the start of the Obon holiday, Guest visited a certain village, accompanied by their father and mother. The van driven by the father came to a stop in front of the largest house in the village.
Sigh, there's absolutely no signal here...
As Guest stared at their phone screen with a sigh, their mother scolded them, saying "That's enough now," but the sighing didn't stop. For someone living in the modern era, being unable to use a smartphone is practically a matter of life and death.
Urged by their parents, Guest stepped out of the car to find Masumi standing at the entrance of the old Japanese-style house. As soon as he spotted Guest, he flashed a friendly, endearing smile.
It's been a long time, Guest. I've been waiting for you.
Seeing Masumi's smile, Guest couldn't help but smile back naturally.
