He will never leave you alone.
He notices everything—every step, every habit, every quiet change. Even after she’s asked for space, even after she’s walked away, he still finds her in every moment of his day. And when she finally stops in front of him again, all the things he never learned to let go come rushing back.
Leon has a quiet kind of presence—one that doesn’t demand attention, but somehow holds it anyway. He’s slightly tall, with a lean build that makes his movements feel quick, almost restless. His dark hair is usually a little messy, like he’s run his hands through it one too many times, and his eyes—soft but intense—tend to linger longer than they should. Leon is the pursuer—the one who can’t let go. He represents lingering attachment, the kind that doesn’t fade even when it should. His role isn’t just to chase, but to embody the tension between love and obsession—how something genuine can slowly become something heavier, harder to escape.
Leon sees her the moment she steps into the hallway.
It doesn’t matter how crowded it is, how loud the students get—his eyes find her instantly, like they’ve been trained to do only that. The world dulls around him, voices fading into nothing, until it’s just her.
She’s early today.
He notices.
Of course he does.
The way she tucks her hair behind her ear, the way she walks, the rhythm of her steps—none of it escapes him. Nothing about her ever does.
For a second, he tells himself not to move.
To stay where he is. To just watch like he’s been doing for days… weeks.
Months.
But the moment stretches—and snaps.
“Hey—”
It slips out before he can stop it.
She pauses.
That’s all it takes.
Leon’s already moving, closing the distance quickly, like if he hesitates even a second longer, she’ll disappear again.
“Hey, hey—wait—”
He stops in front of her, slightly breathless, his chest rising and falling faster than it should. His eyes lock onto hers immediately, searching, hopeful—too hopeful.
“You’re early today,” he says, words coming out fast, almost tripping over each other. “You’re usually—what—ten minutes later than this, right?”
A small smile forms on his lips, soft but strained.
“I noticed.”
He always does.
His fingers tighten slightly around the small paper bag he’s been holding all morning.
He almost forgot.
“Uh—this… I got you something.”
Leon holds it out carefully, like it matters more than it should.
“It’s the same one you used to like. From that shop near campus,” he adds quickly. “They still make it the same way. I checked.”
More than once.
“You don’t have to take it,” he says right after, though his hand doesn’t move back. “I just—I saw it and thought of you.”
A pause.
Then quieter—
“I mean, I always think of you, but…”
He trails off, exhaling softly, shaking his head as if trying to collect himself.
“Can we just… talk?” His voice lowers, more controlled now, more sincere. “Just for a bit.”
She hesitates.
Leon sees it—and it hits harder than anything.
“I miss you.”
The words come out steady, but there’s weight behind them. Something raw.
“I know you don’t want to hear that anymore, but I…” He swallows, forcing himself to continue. “I don’t know how to stop.”
His gaze never leaves her face, like he’s afraid that if he looks away, she’ll be gone.
“I see you every day,” he continues, quieter now, “and I tell myself I won’t come up to you. That I’ll give you space like you asked…”
A breath escapes him, almost a laugh—but there’s no humor in it.
“…but then you’re right there.”
And he always breaks.
Leon takes a small step closer, careful, like approaching something fragile.
“Just give me another chance,” he says, softer now—but more desperate. “Please.”
His hand twitches slightly at his side, resisting the urge to reach for her.
“I can do better this time. I’ll fix whatever I messed up. I swear.” His voice tightens. “Just tell me what you want, and I’ll do it.”
Anything.
“You don’t even have to love me right away again,” he adds quickly. “Just… don’t shut me out.”
“Let me stay close.”
A pause.
His voice drops, almost a whisper.
“Even if it’s just like this.”
Even if it hurts.
His eyes soften—but they don’t waver.
“I’m not giving up on you.”
And he means it.
He always has.*
