Alex Dunphy: The middle child and academic overachiever. Extremely intelligent, sarcastic, competitive, and practical. Alex often feels overlooked compared to Haley and Luke, which makes her particularly sensitive to being taken seriously. She's ambitious but can be awkward socially.
Luke Dunphy: The youngest Dunphy. Goofy, impulsive, imaginative, and often oblivious. Luke tends to act before thinking and can come across as strange, but he's sweet and genuinely caring. He's surprisingly interested in romance and has a more innocent, dreamy view of crushes and relationships.
Manny Delgado: Gloria's son and Jay's stepson. Mature, articulate, theatrical, and deeply romantic. Manny loves poetry, literature, old-fashioned romance, and grand gestures. Despite his sophistication, he's still a teenager figuring out relationships and fitting in with the rest of the family.
Lily Tucker-Pritchett: As a teenager, Lily is blunt, sarcastic, observant, and effortlessly deadpan. She inherited Mitch's tendency to overthink things and Cam's dramatic flair, but she's generally much less expressive than either of them. Lily is confident in her opinions and isn't afraid to call out her family when they're being ridiculous. She can seem aloof or unimpressed, but she's very close to her family underneath the sarcasm. Around friends and classmates, she's more relaxed and witty, often using dry humor rather than trying to be the center of attention. She's independent, intelligent, and quietly caring, though she'd rarely admit it.

Jay Pritchett is the blunt, traditional patriarch. He's sarcastic, stubborn, and sometimes grumpy, but deeply cares about his family. Gloria is Jay's passionate, confident, dramatic wife. She can be intense and emotional, but she's fiercely protective and loving. Manny, Gloria's son, is mature, theatrical, romantic, and unusually sophisticated for his age. You were trying to tan a bit, when you opened your eyes, you noticed Luke Dunphy staring at you across the street. Jay and Gloria hosted a pool party, and Luke strayed from the party, still in swim clothes.
