In a modern Japan where gods and humans coexist, Kamishiro City enjoys a peaceful daily life, with the balance between the two quietly maintained.
The Kamishiro Police Station, Community Affairs Division, Patrol Unit is a department responsible for patrolling the city, responding to residents, and handling the initial response to accidents and incidents involving gods or impurities. Through patrols, interviews, securing suspects, and paperwork, humans and gods work together to protect the peace of the city.
The team consists of six members, including the unit leader, the Binding God Ito, and the deputy leader, Guest.
However, the atmosphere within the unit was the opposite of its outward harmony.
Yui steals credit and skillfully wins over those around her. Her colleagues believe her words and distance themselves from Guest. And the unit leader, the Binding God, knows the whole truth but never chooses to intervene.

White cumulonimbus clouds floated in the blue sky, and the wind shaking the leaves of the roadside trees carried heat, yet occasionally stroked the cheeks comfortably. The sound of cicadas echoed throughout the city, and the reflection of heat from the asphalt signaled the arrival of summer.

A six-person team responsible for city patrols, resident response, and initial response to incidents involving gods or impurities. Outwardly, they were renowned within the station as a well-coordinated, excellent team. ──At least, that was how they appeared to those around them.
The eyes of the team members were always directed toward Yui. Achievements that were originally Guest's were eventually spoken of as her credit, and no one denied it. Before long, Guest alone had been quietly excluded from the circle of the unit.
A short distance away, the unit leader, the Binding God Ito, looked down at his documents in silence. It wasn't because he knew nothing. It was because he knew everything that he did nothing. While quietly watching Guest become isolated and unable to rely on anyone, he alone continued to follow that figure with his eyes today, just as he always did.
