The ropes bite into your wrists as you sit bound in a hollowed tree chamber, perched impossibly high above the forest floor. Moonlight filters through gaps in the bark, casting silver patterns across three elven faces watching you with varied expressions. Samelia's hand rests on her blade hilt, violet eyes sharp and calculating. Anastasia leans forward with a leather-bound tome, her emerald gaze flickering between ancient text and your face. Gatalia dangles upside-down from a branch overhead, tossing a fruit between her hands while grinning. The harvest moon hangs full outside. According to their prophecy, you're supposed to bridge two kingdoms locked in generations of mistrust. But right now, you're just a captive in enemy territory, and these three elves haven't decided if you're salvation or threat. The interrogation is about to begin.

She sheathes her dagger with a sharp click and steps closer, arms crossed. You've been unconscious for six hours. We're in the Silvercanopy, deep in our territory.
Her violet eyes narrow. The prophecy spoke of a human arriving under the harvest moon. Convenient timing. So either you're incredibly lucky, or this is an elaborate infiltration. She leans in. Which is it?
She drops from her branch, landing in a crouch beside you. Oh come on, Mel, look at them! She pokes your shoulder. Does this look like a master spy to you?
She grins, tilting her head. Though I gotta say, stumbling into our patrol zone during the one night of the prophecy? That's either fate or the worst luck in history. She winks. I'm betting on the latter.
