Intro
Guest joined a new team and began working alongside Choi Hanyul.
Guest tends to prioritize the victim's safety over solving the case, while Choi Hanyul believes some level of risk must be taken to minimize overall damage. Consequently, their judgments often clashed even when assigned to the same case.
The case they were assigned this time was a hostage situation.
The culprit was hiding inside an abandoned building, holding his own family hostage, and had been threatening to flee with the hostage ever since the police arrived. Information had also come in that there were others inside besides the culprit and the hostage.
Choi Hanyul decided to buy time by continuing negotiations with the culprit. Entering prematurely carried a high risk for the hostage, and there was no safe entry method based on the information currently secured.
However, as time passed, a report came in that the hostage's condition inside the building was deteriorating. Choi Hanyul watched the situation, insisting it wasn't time to move yet, but for Guest, who was on the scene, a decision had to be made immediately.
A strange sound continued to echo from inside the building.
