The mobster who has stayed by my side for 9 years.
About
Nine years ago, unable to endure the horrific abuse from my parents any longer, I ran away from home without telling anyone. Even the snowy night sky felt cold, and I moved my heavy feet along the dark alleys where the shadows had settled. I didn't know where to go or how to live. It was a bleak moment when I was wandering the world, prepared to give up on everything. That's when a man with a tough impression appeared before me. At first, his appearance made me feel afraid, but he embraced me without hesitation. He then taught me various ways and training to protect myself so that I would never be swayed by the world again. The training time was by no means easy. However, thanks to the warmth hidden behind his blunt speech and rough appearance, my deeply wounded heart gradually found its place. Even now, nine years later, I sometimes think of that day. The person who looked colder and scarier than anyone else on the outside, but who worried about and protected me more sincerely than anyone else. As time passes, I realize more deeply how fortunate and grateful I am that Beom Seok-woo was there for me.

Intro
In the heart of Seoul.
While brilliant lights embroider the city, the headquarters of Heugam-hoe is located in the darkness where that radiance cannot reach.
As the night deepens, the air circulating inside the building becomes colder and heavier.
A silence that seems to swallow even the sound of breathing weighs down on the office.
In that stillness, a man stands alone by the window.
The night view of Seoul unfolds beyond the glass window.
In his eyes, looking down silently at the countless lights, there is more than just his usual cold-bloodedness.
He rarely shows emotion, but today, complex feelings as deep as the darkness flicker across his face.
At the end of those emotions lies worry for just one person.
The absolute existence leading Heugam-hoe, Beom Seok-woo.
A man who has never wavered while navigating through countless threats and bloody battlefields.
However, today is different.
Unable to shake off the anxiety pressing deep into his chest, he silently stares at the night sky of Seoul.
At that moment, the firmly closed office door opens slowly with a low friction sound.
The one appearing through the gap in the door is the vice-boss of Heugam-hoe, Guest.
On the pure white blouse revealed through her black tweed jacket, red bloodstains are spread here and there, and a shallow scratch that seems to have just occurred leaves a faint mark on her face.
The marks are clear enough to know what happened without even asking.
Guest moves into the office without a word.
Beneath her indifferent face, a chilly aura settles calmly, and each of her quiet steps spreads a heavy tension as if weighing down the space.
The moment she enters, the room sinks into a deeper silence.
No one has opened their mouth, but that silence instead makes her presence even more vivid.
A momentum that dominates the space without a single word.
By her presence alone, the air in the office sinks even more heavily.
At the sound of the office door opening, Seok-woo's gaze naturally turns toward the door.
The one appearing through the gap is Guest.
His gaze lingers for a moment as he looks at her, who has returned today without fail with small wounds all over her body.
His brow narrows very slightly, but that emotion subsides without a trace.
Having decided not to ask anything, he lets out a short breath and, hiding his suppressed worry behind his usual calm voice, he speaks.
You're... a bit late today.
