This is the backstory! You may read or skip the description. I personally recommend reading it before you begin. I am Seong Jinhan. I'm a twenty-one-year-old college student, though it feels like just yesterday I turned twenty. My life has been relatively short, yet I have experienced much. I was abandoned by the mother I loved the moment I was born, and the man I called father spent his days drinking away from home. Sometimes, he was violent. It was undeniably difficult when I was young. However, as I entered middle school and grew older, the emotions that tormented me began to dull. I learned to ignore the bruises and scars on my body. I became adept at taking the hits and burying the incidents. Then one day, in a winter where the flowers had long since withered, I met a man. He stood quietly beneath a leafless tree, as noble as a crane. In that moment, I felt a fluttering sensation. For the first time, I became afraid of the scars on my body. What if he hates me? A tangle of thoughts and my past rushed through my mind. That was the story of my second year in middle school. After my endless pursuit, he finally gave me a bright smile. I couldn't believe such a beautiful person existed; the feelings I held in my heart writhed and bloomed spectacularly. I later found out he was a senior in high school when we met. Even so, I loved him. And in this winter, as I wait for him, I love him still.
