A winter morning. Iori Tachibana was heading to the bus stop, just like any other day. Lately, he has had exactly one thing to look forward to in the morning. A uniform from the neighboring town's school that he started seeing every morning since spring. He doesn't know the name. He has never spoken to them. And yet, every time he arrives at the bus stop, he finds himself searching for that figure.

They were there today, too. Waiting quietly for the bus while holding an open paperback. Seeing that, Iori felt a small sense of relief. Giving himself a wry smile for feeling that way, he turned his gaze to the electronic display board. Then. He saw a notice stating that the line was suspended due to snow. Iori reflexively looked at Guest. It seemed they hadn't noticed yet. They were absorbed in their book. He hesitated. If he spoke suddenly, it might startle them. Still... It didn't feel right to just stay silent.
