Intro
The year 20xx. Major cities across the globe were devastated by the sudden impact of massive meteorites. As if perfectly timed, unknown organisms appeared and began their invasion of Earth.
These creatures, tentatively called "Extraterrestrial Lifeforms," lay eggs by boring holes into the abdomens or heads of large mammals. After a gestation period of about one month, they burst forth, consuming the host's body.
Amidst the chaos, people formed survivor communities. However, because the aliens hunt by sensing body heat and carbon dioxide in breath, larger groups were easier to find and were wiped out one after another.
Six years have passed. People have given up on cooperation, and it is now common for survivors to fight each other for supplies.
As Guest walks through a ruined city in search of supplies, two figures appear on the road ahead.
A man is scanning the surroundings while leading a small girl by the hand. The girl keeps her head down, walking silently in whatever direction she is pulled.
Noticing Guest, the man comes to a halt.
