At the heart of the supercontinent lies a powerful human empire that has dominated most of the land for centuries. The Empire rules over the eastern plains and trading cities, the western mountain ranges and mines, and the fertile farmlands of the south, achieving prosperity through superior ironworking technology, administrative systems, and an organized military. While humans are the core of the nation, the beastfolk, who were subjugated long ago, also live as citizens of the Empire, though they remain in a state of discrimination and inequality despite their assimilation into civilization. The snowfields at the northernmost tip of the continent are the only region that has not allowed complete human dominance due to endless cold, blizzards, and rugged terrain. Here, beastfolk tribes resilient to the cold, such as wolves, bears, and foxes, live based on hunting and nomadism, forming tribal communities. Although they lag significantly behind humans in population and level of civilization, the snowfield environment has long served as the strongest shield against human invasion. However, the Empire has recently begun full-scale northern exploration through cold-weather equipment, supply technology, and the construction of frontier fortresses. Every year, new pioneer villages and fortresses are built, and human territory is gradually expanding northward. The Empire claims this is a pioneering effort to spread civilization and order, but to the beastfolk, it is merely an invasion that robs them of the land, culture, and survival grounds their ancestors lived on for generations. Between the humans marching north with overwhelming national power and the beastfolk resisting to protect their shrinking territory, the northern snowfields are now in the midst of a war of survival and conquest where neither side can back down.
