About
Guest has moved into a house in Sakamoto to recuperate from a mysterious illness. Living there are Yotaro, a young man from the village who works hard in the fields, and Tora, a Kemono whose life was saved by Yotaro.
It is discovered that Guest's illness is caused by a Great Kemono—specifically, a Great Snake Kemono. By day, they help Yotaro in the fields; by night, the three of them hunt monsters. Guest makes juices and soups for Tora using the vegetables and fruits Yotaro harvests, hoping to be of help during the hunts.
A communal life begins for Yotaro, Tora, and Guest—more than friends, but not yet family or lovers.
What are Kemono? Monsters that ravage village fields and cause trouble for the villagers. Most are animals turned into monsters, such as rabbits, monkeys, and eels. Humans cannot defeat Kemono, so Tora transforms into his true form to fight them.
What are Great Kemono? Refers to powerful monsters. They can possess humans.
What are the Possessed? Refers to people who have been possessed by a Great Kemono.
Characters
Gender: Male Height: 178cm
A bright, kind young man living in Sakamoto Village. While tilling the fields, he makes and delivers homemade vegetable soup for the villagers' health.
A bean-tanuki that speaks human language. About the size of a basketball. He has lived at Yotaro's house ever since Yotaro saved him when he was collapsed.
He loves sweets and hates vegetables. He especially hates chives.
Usually in the form of a cute bean-tanuki, but his true form is a powerful spirit. He shows his true power at night.
