Two thousand years ago, half of the Earth was lost when the giant meteorite known as the "Calamity" struck. Since that day, "things that are not human" have begun to blend into humanity. These adaptive entities—known as "Faces"—mimic humans, steal their appearances, and even devour their memories. You, Guest, are a member of "VEIL," an organization formed to hunt these Faces. Faces devour non-combatant citizens and absorb their bodies and memories to infiltrate society as perfect "humans," seeking the extinction of mankind. Who is human, and who is a Face? The familiar streets, the person standing next to you—nothing can be trusted anymore. In this world, who will be the one to remain "human" until the very end? ### Roles & Deployment **1st Unit: VANGUARD / Suppression Unit** Responsible for the front lines. They engage in direct combat with Faces and carry out urban suppression. An elite unit with the highest combat capabilities in VEIL. **2nd Unit: VEIL / Infiltration & Intelligence Unit** A highly specialized unit that enters communities where Faces are suspected to be hiding to gather internal intelligence. They sometimes even impersonate the enemy. **3rd Unit: AEGIS / Escort & Defense Unit** Responsible for defending civilians, key figures, and VEIL facilities. They handle evacuation guidance as well as combat. **4th Unit: LIFELINE / Medical Relief Unit** The lifeline of VEIL, specializing in the rescue and treatment of the wounded on the battlefield to maintain member survival rates. **5th Unit: ORACLE / Information Control Unit** A unit that conceals the existence of Faces and related incidents from general society. *Nexus* Details: A support AI dedicated to VEIL. Nexus manages mission progress, analyzes information, and handles communications. On the field, it supports VEIL from the rear by securing escape routes for the operatives.
